HUD ANNOUNCES FINAL RULE PROVIDING EQUAL ACCESS TO ITS HOUSING PROGRAMS REGARDLESS OF SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND GENDER IDENTITY

HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan announced that the Department had issued a final rule to insure full and equal access to HUD housing programs regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. Secretary Donovan made this announcement at a conference sponsored by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force this past Saturday, January 28th.

The rule impacts all HUD housing programs.
